Jennifer Lopez Gets Nominations and Awards for The Boy Next Door
In 2016, Jennifer Lopez received a nomination for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress, and The Boy Next Door a Favorite Thriller Movie nomination, but failed to win the awards.

Despite its lackluster movie critic and reviews, Jennifer Lopez managed to snag some awards for her portrayal of a woman who falls victim to a torrid affair gone wrong in the thriller-horror film, The Boy Next Door.

For the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, JLo was nominated and went on to win the Best Scared-as-Sh*t Performance category. Other nominees of the said category include Rosamund Pike, Annabelle Wallis, Dylan O’Brien, and Zach Gilford.

For the Premios Juventud 2015 Awards, Jennifer Lopez received a She Steals the Show (Actriz que se Roba la Pantalla) award, while The Boy Next Door got a Favorite Flick (Pelicula Mas Padre) award.

In 2016, Jennifer Lopez received a nomination for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress, and The Boy Next Door a Favorite Thriller Movie nomination, but failed to win the awards.

On another note, Jennifer Lopez was nominated for the Worst Actress category from the Golden Raspberry Awards on the same year.

While the entire movie did not get very good audience and critic reviews, some critics praised JLo for trying her best. Reviews aside, the movie was a box-office hit, earning more than $50 million dollars to date, way more than its production budget of $4 million.
